Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, has announced the signing of highly-rated defender Kofi Agbesimah from Hearts of Oak.
Agbesimah joins the Timber Giants after terminating his contract with the Phobian Club.
The defender had joined Hearts of Oak before the start of last season on a two-year deal but has left the club after just one season.
In the recently concluded season, the tall centre-back was impressive in the Rainbow colours, making 30 league appearances, starting all those matches, and scoring one goal.
FC Samartex is bolstering their squad ahead of their maiden participation in the CAF Champions League.
They will face Cameroonian side Victoria United FC on August 16 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, with the return leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 23 in the preliminary round.
