Farmer dies over fight on cassava price

A 26-year-old farmer has allegedly been killed during a brawl over the price of cassava.
According to reports, the deceased, Yaw Afanyi fell from a moving truck during the misunderstanding between the buyer husband, Kofi Abodwe.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Ajumako Asikado in the Central region.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to Adom News, the deceased, Yaw Afenyi, sold five bags of cassava to the suspects, Kofi Abodwe and his wife(cassava trader) whose name is yet unknown.
During the payment, the suspects decided to pay GHC30 per bag but the deceased insisted on GHC50 per bag.
The situation lead to a serious exchange of words between the two parties.
They started fighting after the deceased attempted to offload the five bags of cassava in question from the vehicle set to take the goods away after the suspect insisted on the Ghc30.
Eyewitness alleged that, the deceased was pushed from the car by the suspect where he eventually died in the process.
