The family of Mark Yaw Ofori, slain treasurer of the Takoradi constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western Region, has placed a GH¢50, 000.00 bounty on the killers.

The announcement of the bounty follows Mr Ofori’s death on Wednesday after an unknown assailant broke into his house through his window to kill him.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, Sam Elis, a brother of the deceased during a visit by regional executives of the NPP, said he believes his brother’s death was planned.

“Owing to the fact that the assailant did not steal any item after killing Mark Ofori, the family strongly believes that the murder was premeditated and so the family has placed a GH¢50,000.00 bounty on the head of the unknown killer who is on the run,” he said.
