As an immediate measure, civil works, tilling, electrical works and interior decoration have began at the Out Patient Department.

Contract has also been awarded for labourers to come and weed the vast land housing the health centre.
District Chief Executive of Achiase, Richmond Amponsah Boateng, setting the records straight on Fabewoso said the facility is not as bad as was portrayed in the earlier reportage.
He explained that, since he assumed office in 2017, there had been countless repair works on the facility undertaken by philanthropists and the Assembly.

“I have visited the facility countless times and undertake projects and also led others to also donate to the facility but more needs to be done,” the DCE added.
Mr Boateng said he is working around the clock to get the needed funds to build more wards for the health centre.
Achiase District Health Director, Stella Konadu Owusu, said they are working to upgrade the health centre to a hospital.

She noted that, so far, the Health Centre has only physician assistants but has requested for a medical doctor to be posted to the area.
The Health Director urged the staff to direct their concerns to the Health Directorate to have them addressed rather than the media.
For his part, manager of the Achiase Health Centre, Mantey Ishmael Erasmus, said their working condition is better now than in the past.

Mr Mantey called on the indigenes both home and abroad and philanthropists to complement government’s effort in healthcare delivery in the country.
Presiding Member of Achiase District Assembly, Eric Bamfo, said giving the health centre a facelift has been on their agenda.
He said they have approved monies for the project and hopes it is completed on time to improve healthcare delivery in the area.
