Ismailia Sarr netted twice after Eberechi Eze’s opener as Crystal Palace impressively downed Aston Villa at Wembley to reach the FA Cup Final for the third time.

Oliver Glasnier was happy for Villa to have the majority of possession with his team keen to catch them on the break with they often did and could have won by an even greater margin.

After a slow start to the match, just after the half-hour mark, Sarr found Eze 25 yards from goal and his curling effort just beat Emiliano Martinez before nestling in the roof of the net.

Jean-Philippe Mateta clipped the post from the penalty spot but soon afterwards set up Sarr, who missed a couple of gilt-edged chances but on this occasion drove a low effort in off the post giving the Villa stopper little chance.

In injury time, Sarr raced through one-on-one with Martinez to add deserved gloss to the scoreline and the Eagles will now play the winners of tomorrow’s match between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City in the domestic showpiece match on May 17.
