Over the weekend, Adom FM and TV’s Odo Ahomaso host, Akumaa Mama Zimbi laid her father to rest.
The burial ceremony which was held at Somanya in the Eastern Region, saw a number of media personalities joining to pay their last respects to the departing former police officer, Inspector (Rtd) John Kwao Dongontey.
As expected, a number of Multimedia staff were at Somanya to lend their support to Akumaa as she is affectionately called in-house.
Also present were members of the Widows Alliance Network (WANE), a widows support group under the Mama Zimbi Foundation.
The departing officer was given full police service honours as his casket was draped in popular blue-black police flag of the Ghana Police Service.
Inspector (Rtd) John Kwao Dongontey died an octogenarian, clocking 85 years thereby beating Ghana’s current Life Expectancy for males which stands at 62.5 years by almost two decades.
