Evans Adotey named interim Medeama SC coach

-

Medeama SC has announced Augustine Evans Adotey as the interim head coach following the departure of Nebojsa Kapor.

Kapor parted ways with the Yellow and Mauve after his contract was not renewed.

His exit came in the aftermath of Medeama’s 3-2 loss to Vision FC during Matchday 13, leaving the team fifth on the league table with 21 points—three points off the top spot.

Adotey, who previously guided Medeama to their Ghana Premier League triumph in the 2022/23 season, steps in to lead the team until a permanent replacement is named.

Known for his extensive experience and success with the club, his appointment is expected to bring stability and a renewed push for the title.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Medeama confirmed that “both parties failed to reach an agreement on contract renewal,” citing the team’s inconsistent performances this season as a factor in the decision to part ways with Kapor.

Adotey’s first test will be a home fixture against Karela United at the TNA Park in the Matchday 14 games.
