Esoko, a mobile technology-based Ghanaian organization has launched a new web and mobile application-based product called Insyt.
Insyt is a platform built by the company to make all forms of data collection and dissemination easy and also help in reducing the reliance on paper for such purposes.
Launching the programme at the Alisa Hotel in Accra last Tuesday, acting Chief Executive Officer of Esoko, Dr Daniel Asare-Kyei said the product is a response to climate change but most importantly designed to aid small businesses to improve on their data collection.

He said insyt would help agencies “convert from paper, thus reducing cost, time and errors” in their data collection drives.
Insyt, according to him, helps with market research, fleet management, monitoring and evaluation, stock tracking and survey and mapping activities.
To use Insyt, all one has to do is to log onto the insyt platform, after which they can generate any form to suit the purpose for which data is collected, he explained.
The platform can take text, image, GPS locations depending on what the end user may want to input.

With insyt data collection, responses are sent to the one gathering the data instantly when there is internet but in offline mode, the data is stored and synced later when internet can be accessed.
Data collected can be viewed and managed in different formats for further analysis of sharing.

Esoko has been experimenting with mobile-based software, setting up a call centre to support farmers in local languages and address issues with literacy as well as agro-based solutions to farmers’ problems.
They have provided farmers with price information, weather alerts, crop advice, and have also linked buyers with sellers.
