The Deputy Bono Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei, has indicated that President Mahama does not own a customized V8 vehicle.
Speaking to Nana Jantuah on Nhyira FM’s KuroYiMuNsem show, he revealed that the vehicle belongs to the President’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
He therefore urged the public to disregard the misinformation aimed at tarnishing the president’s image.
“Enough of the lies; the customized V8 belongs to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama. During the declaration by Jean Mensa, these same vehicles were present at Mahama’s private office at Cantonments. There is no finance minister to purchase those cars for him, so why the lies? If the NPP wants to go on that tangent, we will follow,” he stated.
Mr. Adjei is confident that his boss, Sammy Gyamfi, will make an impact in his appointment as the acting Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC).
“I believe in Sammy Gyamfi to protect our gold, and the proceeds will be used to develop the country,” said Eric Adjei.
According to him, the Mahama administration will enact laws to empower the Gold Board to prevent the smuggling of gold from the country.
“The laws that will be enacted to back the Ghana Gold Board will ban all foreigners from smuggling gold from the country. The Ghana Gold Board is to buy gold in Ghanaian cedis and sell it in dollars to enhance our forex,” said Mr. Adjei.
