‘Enemy’ comment by Kurt Okraku has been overstretched – GFA Communications Director

-

Kurt Okraku’s comment on not working with enemies has been wrongfully interpreted, new Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum has said.

The GFA boss has received a lot of backlash from football administrators and enthusiasts by claiming he wouldn’t win elections and work with his enemies.

The former Dreams FC Executive Chairman made these remarks during his interview with Joy FM last week Thursday on the Personality Show.

Despite the criticisms, Henry Asante Twum, who worked with Mr Okraku at Dreams FC and has now been named as the GFA’s Communications Director, says Mr Okraku’s comment has not been interpreted properly by the public.

“I think Mr Okraku’s remarks on Joy FM has been misconstructed by the public,” the ace sports broadcaster told Asempa FM.

“Despite the criticisms, Kurt Okraku is working with people who did not campaign for him.

“Randy Abbey who made his affiliation clear ahead of the elections is serving on a committee. Abdul Slam who was the campaign manager for George Afriyie is also serving on a committee. Even the vice president [Mark Addo] was at the camp of Nana Yaw Amponsah but Mr Okraku has brought all these gentlemen together to work for Ghana football so where is the enemy tag?

“This is a new era, let us all come together and work as one body in the interest of Ghana football,” he added.
