The Chief Executive Officer of EndPoint Homeopathic Clinic, Dr. Adu Boateng has been honoured by the Childhood Care Education Students Association of Ghana (CCESAG), University of Education for his contribution to the development of Childhood education in the country.

The student association presented a gift to Dr. Boateng during its annual week celebration under the theme “The Early Childhood Educator, Challenges and Promises in the Ghanaian Context.”

Speaking at the ceremony as the guest speaker, Dr. Boateng expressed his profound gratitude to the association for recognizing his good deeds.

“I am humbled by this honour from CCESAG. It was totally unexpected, but I am delighted to receive it.

He used the occasion to encourage students to always remember their roots and make it a point to give back to society when necessary.

“The little things we do for others go a long way to positively impact their lives. Once we complete school, that’s not the end of it. Let’s channel our energies towards how we can assist the school that shaped us in producing great future leaders,” he said.

According to him, giving back to ones alma mater doesn’t have to necessarily be a building or cash. He said, “It can be a fabulous idea that might even be far off better than cash.”

During the Childhood Care Education Students Association of Ghana’s 9th Anniversary last year, Dr. Boateng promised to build a six classroom block for the University. As a man of his words, he kick-started the project which is currently nearing its completion not long after the anniversary.

“My motive is simple. There are a lot of married women on campus who often get pregnant. Right after delivery, such ones are not able to combine lectures with babysitting so they end up deferring their courses. This is to help curb that. Once you give birth while schooling, you can send your kid to the early childhood development center and attend lectures. You pick your kid up after lectures.”

Dr. Adu Boateng is counted among the most notable givers in the country and has embarked on several philanthropic projects that have improved the lives of others. It therefore does not come as a surprise that he’s been honoured by his alma mater, University of Education, Winneba.
