Embassies in Ghana must ‘easily’ grant visas to citizens – Bull Dog

-

CEO of BullHaus Entertainment, Mr Nana Asiamah Hanson known aka Bulldog has urged various embassies in the country to grant more visas to citizens than they decline.
His call comes after Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Kofi Kinaata on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, , threw more light on becoming the UN Migration Agency’s first Goodwill Ambassador to promote safe migration in Ghana.
The musician stressed that, he will be supporting IOM’s advocacy and fundraising efforts, including educating young Ghanaians about the dangers associated with the journey across the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea to reach North Africa and Europe.
But in a quick riposte on the same Daybreak Hitz show, Bulldog indicated that one of the discreet reasons why people forgo the dangers and embark on such journeys is due to lower percentage of granting of visas by embassies in Ghana.
“We need to encourage the embassies’ to grant more visas. This will prevent people from finding other means all the time…” he said.
He continued that, embassies must make transparent the formalities that they follow to decline citizens’ visas since the clarification isn’t clear most times.
“I think they have to have time to explain why people are refused visas most time. They are underlining factors. I think the campaign should get to their doorstep. So people will be safe. Because if they keep refusing them this is what will always happen…” Bulldog maintained.
