The Public Relations Officer for Elmina Sharks, Richmond Arthur, is soaring with confidence ahead of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season .
According to him, the club is prepared to work very hard in order to be in the top four category of the premier league and also participate in Africa.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s holiday edition of the Ultimate Sports Show, Mr. Arthur spoke on the club’s failed attempt to secure the signature of WAFU goal king Stephen Sarfo.
“Elmina Sharks did all we could to get Stephen Sarfo to join the club but unfortunately it couldn’t happen “.
However, he assured supporters that the club is more than close to securing the signature of Aduana Stars winger, Richard Mpong.
Mpong joined the Dorma-based side in a high-profile move from giants Asante Kotoko two seasons but failed to command a regular playing berth.
Elmina Sharks finished the 2016/17 season at the 9 position with 42 points winning 12, drawing 6 and losing 12 matches after 30 matches played.
