General Manager of Elmina Sharks, Mr. George Wiredu has asked the Ghana Football Association to compensate the club after their week 3 Ghana Premier League away match to Berekum Chelsea was postponed without prior notice.
According to the club’s administrator, the team travelled to the Berekum only to be told the match could not be honoured because the Golden City Park had been rented out to the Church of Pentecost for Easter Convention.
”We will let the FA pay. The FA must pay the money. We will serve them receipts of our bookings and they will have to pay the cost because this was not our fault”, George Wiredu told the media.
Elmina Sharks will have to wait till a later date to be announced by the Premier League Board to honor this encounter.
