Independent presidential aspirant, John Kwadwo Alan Kyerematen has introduced Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, a 40-year-old legal practitioner and former hiplife artiste, as his running mate for the 2024 elections.

1. Reality TV BreakthroughÂ
Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso first gained fame in 2008 as a contestant on Ghana’s edition of the Nescafe African Revelation competition. He was part of the hiplife group Echo, which won the competition and found moderate success in the local music scene.
2. Hiplife Star
As part of Echo, Danso, then known as Echo Elijah, contributed to hit tracks like Gologolo and Shikome. After the group split in 2011, he pursued a solo career under the name E-Nice.
3. Married to Kwesi Pratt Jr.’s Daughter
In 2015, Danso married Maame Ama Pratt, daughter of veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt Jr. Maame Ama Pratt is a television host on Pan African TV and CEO of M.A.P Concepts Ghana, organisers of the Obaasima Summit.
4. Called to the Bar
Last year, Danso was called to the Ghana Bar alongside over 1,000 new lawyers, including prominent figures such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and NLA Director-General Samuel Awuku.

Before entering politics, Danso built a career in public relations, working as a PR Consultant for Empire Builders, the developers of Trasacco Valley, and other corporate entities in Ghana.

Currently, Danso hosts Good Morning Africa, a current affairs and political talk show on Pan African TV, blending his background in law, media, and activism to engage with national issues.
