The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced plans to conclude its nationwide campaign with a grand rally on December 5, 2024.
The event, titled the “Possibilities Victory Rally,” will take place at the UG Sports Directorate Park, located opposite the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
In a statement issued on November 30, 2024, NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye extended an invitation to party members, supporters, and the general public to attend this “historic programme,” which will be broadcast live across all media platforms.
The rally will feature key figures from the party, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, National Chairman Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong.
A Competitive Finale
Coincidentally, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has also scheduled its final rally for December 5, making it a high-stakes day as both major political parties aim to energize their supporters and sway undecided voters.
The NPP’s rally will emphasize the party’s achievements and outline its vision for Ghana under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership. In contrast, the NDC, led by flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, will focus on its plans for governance and critique the NPP’s record.
With the December 7 elections just days away, both rallies will provide a final opportunity for each party to make its case to the electorate in what promises to be one of Ghana’s most fiercely contested elections.
