Deputy Central East Regional Police Commander ACP Sulley Ibrahim has cautioned supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to ensure peace prevails in Kasoa before, during and after the December election.
Both NPP and NDC supporters nearly clashed at Kasoa Odikro Palace when Kasoa Odikro Nai Mohammed Saani Seidu summoned security officers, Awutu Senya East Constituency NPP and NDC supporters, and their parliamentary candidates to have a peace talk ahead of the election.
Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson was present at the engagement, but NDC parliamentary candidate, Phillis Naa Koryoo failed to appear at the peace talk.
In an interview with Adom News, Deputy Central East Regional Police Commander. ACP Sulley Ibrahim called on politicians to desist from using macho men and land guards to attack people.
He appealed to Kasoa NPP and NDC supporters to ensure peace prevails before, during, and after the election.
“When politicians create insecurity in Kasoa, it opens the way for criminals to take advantage and rob and kill innocent souls” APC Ibrahim added.
Meanwhile, Odikro of Kasoa, Nai Mohammed Saani Seidu (III) also warned NPP and NDC supporters to desist from creating a bad name for Kasoa.
