An Industrialist and philanthropist has been elected as the new 1st Vice Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region.
Horrace Ekow Ewusi who endeared himself to the party’s delegates in the region received an overwhelming endorsement at the party’s delegates conference that was held in Kasoa over the weekend.
He polled 327 of valid votes cast to beat his contender, Joseph Donkor who managed only 98.

Ekow Ewusi who is popularly referred to as ‘Koo Fanti’ said prior to the elections that he will work to ensure that the constituencies become independent to enhance democracy.
“We want to be independent of ourselves to enhance democracy,” he said.
He also said his vision is to ensure that the constituencies were ran as business entities with delegates as board of directors or trustees of the company.
