Ghanaian media personality and entertainer Efia Odo recently shared an eye-opening experience from her past that involved a dramatic police chase in New York.

Reflecting on the incident, she recounted how a date night with her then-boyfriend quickly turned into a high-stakes escape from law enforcement.

According to Efia Odo, during their drive, her ex-boyfriend ran a red light, attracting the attention of the police.

Instead of pulling over as expected, he continued driving, prompting her to question his actions. It was then that she learned a shocking truth—her partner was an ex-convict, and the car they were in had been stolen.

“I was on a date with this guy, and while driving in New York, he ran a red light,” Efia Odo shared during an interview on 3xtra.

“The police were after us for a traffic violation, but he refused to stop. When I asked why, he admitted the car was stolen, and he couldn’t afford to get caught. I had no idea about his past or that we were driving a stolen vehicle.”

The situation escalated as her boyfriend eventually slowed down, abandoned the car, and fled the scene.

Fortunately for Efia Odo, she was not held accountable for the incident due to her young age at the time.
