Citing a publication by the educationghana.net with the headline: ‘No selected Text for the Cock Crow in BECE 2018; Candidates are to Prepare for all texts’ where to butress his point, Mr. Opoku Mensah maintained the forcing students to learn all the texts in the literature book could spell doom.
Mr Opoku Mensah appealed passionately to the Deputy Minister of the Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and the Chairman of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Council, Kenneth Nsowah to intervene.
However, the GES Council Chairman disagreed with him insisting that selecting some of the texts for examination purposes is not the best.
