Ghana’s education sector is set to receive a significant boost following the inauguration of the National Education Forum Planning Committee by the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.
The eight-member committee, appointed by President John Dramani Mahama, is tasked with overseeing the planning and organization of the National Education Forum.
Chaired by renowned academic Professor George K. T. Oduro, the committee comprises esteemed educators and experts, including Professor Goski Alabi, Professor Rosemary Bosu, Dr. Samuel Awuku, and Professor Smile Dzisi. Kofi Asare, Stephen Owusu, and Inusah Shiraz complete the lineup.
The committee’s mandate is to submit a comprehensive report and plan within two weeks, outlining strategies to enhance Ghana’s education system.
This initiative aims to engage key stakeholders in shaping policies that will drive long-term improvements in learning outcomes, infrastructure, and teacher development.
The National Education Forum will provide a platform for critical discussions and innovative solutions to address current challenges in the education sector.
By doing so, Ghana’s education system will remain competitive and aligned with global standards, ultimately benefiting the country’s future generations.
