ECG to engage Adidome residents over billing concerns

-

The Volta Regional office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to engage residents of Adidome in the Central Tongu District following a petition submitted through Assembly Member Guggisberg Fiagbenu.

Residents have raised concerns over estimated billing, which they claim has resulted in inflated charges since the 2023 Akosombo Dam spillage. They have given ECG a 14-day ultimatum to address the issue.

In response, ECG’s Public Relations Officer, Eunice Tweneboah-Kodua, confirmed plans for a community visit to educate residents on proper power usage, billing processes, and accessing ECG’s virtual services.

Mr. Fiagbenu has urged residents to attend the meeting and present evidence of discrepancies to support their claims and seek redress.
