The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has commenced the preparation of its control engineers and system operators to be fully equipped to handle all emergencies during and after the December polls.
Organized by the Ashanti Sub-Transmission Region of ECG at the Boadi Regional Office in Kumasi, the 3-day in-house capacity-building program
Aimed at instilling confidence in participants to perform their duties professionally while being crisis-ready.
It saw participants, mostly controllers and system operators being divided into batches in that intensive training program.
“With this training and preparations underway, ECG assures the general public that, as a stakeholder in the socioeconomic development of Ghana, it is committed to providing quality, safe, and reliable electricity. It stands ready to ensure supply reliability to meet all energy needs,” the Facilitator, Ing Peter Fletcher said.
Facilitators for the training program included, General Manager for the region, Ing Kurt Festus Plange, Control Engineer, Accra Sub-T; and Ing Christopher Anafo , Manager for Protection and Control of Ashanti Sub- T, assisted with facilitation of the program.
