ECG missing containers: I’m ready to subject myself to investigation – Dubik Mahama [Audio]

-

Former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, has expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation into the missing containers.

Mr. Mahama disclosed this in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, denying any wrongdoing during his tenure.

He stressed that if he were involved in any wrongdoing, he would have no reason to flee and would instead present himself for the law to take its course.

Although Mr. Mahama revealed that the committee tasked with probing the missing containers did not contact him, he said he was committed to ensuring the truth comes out.

“We are all human and servants of Ghana. If I had committed any crime in this country, why wouldn’t I subject myself to investigation?

“Suddenly, it seems people have forgotten about all the previous Managing Directors, and the only name on people’s lips is Dubik Mahama,” he vowed.

The scandal, which has shaken the nation, involves the disappearance of over 1,300 containers carrying equipment intended to support ECG operations.

Meanwhile, some of the missing containers have been located, with several individuals, including Ghanaians and Chinese nationals, arrested in connection with the incident.
