Confirming the incident to Starr News, the Municipal Director of NADMO, Kwasi Addo Annor attributed the flooding to activities of some illegal miners in the area, who diverted a major river in the area from its natural path leading to the flooding of homes whenever it rains.

Tuesday’s flooding he said affected many homes, displacing hundreds in five communities namely Akanteng, Estate, First Stop, Brekumanso and Awaham.
