Rapper E.L says he supports Dancehall act, Shatta Wale for saying “Ghana is a village” during his recent tour in Europe.
The “My Level” hitmaker took his ‘Reign’ album tour to the UK, as he performed at a sold-out concert in Indigo, 02 in London, where he sparked a bit of controversy when he referred to Ghana as a village.

He went further by ordering the fans to repeat the words, “Ghana is a village” after him to which they duly obliged.
Weeks after the show, E.L, reacting to it on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, said it’s harsh for critics to descend on Shatta Wale for his utterance because “it’s true Ghana is a village but what are you comparing it to? If you are comparing it to Austria then it’s a village.”

“Ghana is a village in a village if you are comparing it to Dubai. It’s a broad statement and contextual premix. But if you have travelled then you will understand that we have a long way to go,” he explained.
