Duncan-Williams demands apology and retraction over ‘false claims’

-

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry is demanding an apology and retraction from the online portal *ghanacelebrity.com* for publishing false claims about him.

This was through a formal letter sent to the portal on October 15, 2024, by his legal representatives, Sustineri Attorneys.

The online portal had circulated a report alleging that Duncan-Williams’ son had exposed him in a secret conversation with pastors regarding Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential ambitions.

The publication was shared across various social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), amplifying its reach and impact.

But the lawyers have asserted that the publication in question was defamatory and misleading.

It added that, the publication was malicious, and vexatious, accusing *ghanacelebrity.com* of knowingly spreading misinformation.

They are therefore demanding a public apology and retract the story to mitigate the harm caused by the baseless claims.

The lawyers have vowed to pursue further legal actions to protect the reputation of Archbishop Duncan-Williams.
