In response to the ongoing water shortage in parts of Accra, actor and National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo, has stepped in to assist residents in Okponglo and surrounding areas.
He provided water tankers to supply potable water to affected residents.
The initiative saw beneficiaries eagerly rushing out with buckets, basins, and barrels to collect the much-needed water.
This gesture is part of Mr. Dumelo’s broader efforts to connect with and support the grassroots community as he prepares for the upcoming general elections on December 7.
The distribution was met with widespread appreciation, as many households have been struggling to secure clean water amid the drought conditions.
Mr. Dumelo’s timely intervention has been well-received, especially in a period where many residents have been struggling to access water.
By addressing the immediate needs of his constituents, he hopes to demonstrate his commitment to their welfare and enhance his appeal as a community-focused candidate.
