My dream was nearly shattered – Delay

Outstanding Ghanaian TV presenter, Delay born Deloris Frimpong Manso has disclosed how some faceless people anticipated an end to her career back in her SHS days in Aburi Senior High School (ABUGIS).

According to her, because she only came to settle in Accra, some industry players saw her as inferior and did everything to destroy her career.

But, the renowned TV host siad she was rather motivated ad vowed to excel to shame her critics.

“I was in Aburi girls in 1996. I was denied the role to be in the entertainment sector. I wanted to dance and sing. They claimed I am from Nkwakaw and didn’t attend Morning Star, Soul Clinic, and Association International among others so they pushed me into a corner but it didn’t break me…” she revealed.

The host of the ‘Delay Show’ encouraged the youth to strive hard to become a success regardless the career they want to pursue.

“I decided to be an entertainment prefect in Ghana. And I have been able to achieve that. It doesn’t matter when you are coming from. You too can be someone and you can pursue your dreams. Regardless if its baking or anything you can achieve it…”
