Medical practitioner at Abotare Clinic, Dr. Mrs.Juliet Sakyibea Amanor-Osafo has been adjudged the winner of the Health and Wellness category at the 2024 Youth Excellence Awards Africa.
The award was in recognition of her significant contribution to the medical sector.
Dr Amanor has helped shape the views of people to fully accept not only modern, science-based medicine but also traditional medicine which gives validity to the overall health experience.
In an interview after receiving the award, she expressed her profound gratitude to the organizers for recognizing her efforts in promoting quality and affordable health care through Acupressure.
She also asked God to continue to strengthen her to reach out to more patients who need help in her field of expertise.
“I know this award is to also urge me to reach out to save more lives and be more committed to ensuring that the people of Ghana and beyond benefit from our modernized field of treatment.
She further made an appeal to President-elect John Dramani Mahama to strengthen the herbal and alternative industry department of the Ministry of Health.
This she believes can promote their form of healing to relieve pressure in the orthodox healthcare industry.
In 2023, Oral Health Ambassador and Dentist, Dr Louisa Satekla, the wife of dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy won the category.
