The Board of Directors of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KATH) has appointed Dr Frank Owusu-Sekyere to act as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This follows the end of the tenure of the current CEO, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah.
The appointment takes effect from October 6, 2024.
This was contained in a letter dated October 3, 2024, and signed by Dr David Nkansa-Dwamena, the Board Chairman.
The letter explained that, the board’s primary concern was to ensure a seamless continuity of the hospital’s operations and the well-being of patients.
Dr Owusu-Sekyere is currently the Director of Medical Affairs at KATH.
Dr Ampomah’s four-year tenure as Korle Bu CEO ends on October 5, 2024.
