“These challenges are not just administrative concerns; they affect every aspect of our operations, from the quality of teaching and learning to the morale and productivity of our staff. As we face these challenges, it is incumbent upon us to not only adapt but to lead. We must spearhead efforts that will ensure our college not only survives these challenges but thrives despite the adversities”, he said.
He outlined his vision to foster academic excellence and a vibrant research culture in the College community to promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
“I will strive to create an environment where staff and students can engage in meaningful research that addresses educational issues”, he stressed.
Dr. Kumedzro promised to lead the school’s management to provide a safe College Community where there is freedom of expression and sharing of ideas, and members feel valued, heard, and empowered to contribute to the College’s success.
“As we embark on this new chapter together, I want to emphasize the importance of cooperation and collaboration. The challenges we face are too complex for one person or group to tackle alone. It will take the collective efforts of all of us working together with a shared vision and a common purpose. I am confident that, with your support, we can achieve great things”, he said.
He also pledged to commit to the welfare of students; by ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to achieve their academic, emotional, and social goals.
He encouraged the students to take advantage of the numerous opportunities available in the institution and be guided that “every challenge you encounter is a chance for growth.”
“I would also like to express my gratitude to both staff and students who have welcomed me so warmly. I sincerely acknowledge the support that the management, staff, and alumni have given me so far and I will continue to count on you, I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working with every one of you to make Akatsi College of Education a leader in teacher education in Ghana and beyond”, Dr. Kumedzro concluded.
