Don’t repeat the 2008 mistake; let the NPP continue its good works – Napo

-

Running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has urged the people of Assin North not to repeat the mistake made in 2008, when they voted against the NPP government, leading to the NDC taking power.

He made this statement during an engagement with chiefs, Imams, and the clergy at Assin Praso in the Assin North Constituency of the Central Region.

According to him, the NDC deceived Ghanaians with false promises, which led to the ousting of President Kufuor’s government despite its achievements.

He warned that, if the NDC returns to power, they will undo the progress made by the current administration, while Dr. Bawumia will continue to build on these achievements.

Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, also appealed to the people to help break the cycle of changing governments every eight years, which he believes hinders the country’s development.

He urged them to allow the NPP to continue managing the country’s affairs.

The Adontenhene of Assin Akonfudi, Nana Asiedu Appau, acknowledged the good works of the NPP in the area, particularly the Agenda 111 hospital in Assin Bereku and the Praso-Fosu road.

However, he also urged the government to address some of their pressing needs.
