I don’t play for money – Asamoah Gyan

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan says his decision to join Kayserispor is not because of money.
The striker who was speaking for the first time since joining the club says he wants to give his best to the club and make sure the fans are happy.
Gyan joined from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG where he was earning more than he will be taking at the Turkish club but insists he just wants to enjoy his football.
“Money is not important to me. I earned 7.5 million Euros in China. I will forgive the half of the money I will receive from you already,” he told fanatik.tr.
The 31 year old has scored everywhere he moved to but has been troubled by injuries recently. However he said he will be scoring more goals for his new club.
“It’s important to throw a goal, but people will be happy when the team wins. I will do what is best for me to make the fans happy. I am really happy to be here, “he added.
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all-time leading scorer with 51 goals from 105 appearances.
