Don’t let Saturday worship stop you from voting – Napo appeals to SDAs

Members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church have been encouraged to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming general election, scheduled for Saturday, December 7.

In a heartfelt appeal, the Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as Napo, emphasized that it is the civic duty of every eligible citizen to participate in the election.

He stressed the significance of electing both the President and Parliamentary representatives, urging Ghanaians to recognize the importance of this day on the national calendar.

Specifically addressing Adventist worshipers, he urged them not to abstain from voting simply because the election falls on a Saturday, which coincides with their day of worship.

He made these remarks during a campaign stop in Kwamang, part of the Nsuta Kwamang Beposo constituency, while on tour in the Ashanti Region.

Napo reiterated the need for all eligible voters to take part in electing the right leaders, who will steer the nation’s affairs in the right direction.

“As citizens of Ghana, it’s our civic responsibility to vote and select the right individuals to govern and implement policies that will move the country forward,” he stated.

He further warned that by abstaining from the election, citizens risk allowing others to choose leaders who may not reflect their preferences.

“If bad leaders gain power, their poor policies will have an impact on all of us. Saturday, December 7, should not be an excuse for anyone, including Adventists, to avoid voting in these critical elections,” Napo said.
