Don't blame Hearts woes on Togbe Afede XIV – Abass Sulley

-

Ashanti Regional Organizer for Hearts of Oak Supporters Wing, Abass Sulley, has lambasted Hearts of Oak supporters who are blaming Togbe Afede XIV  for the club’s inability to win trophies for the past years.
In a interview on Asempa FM’s Sport Night Show, the outspoken organizer who has been with the club since the 1980’s said emphatically that “all the supporters  who are blaming Tobge for the  misfortunes of the club are not true fans”.
According to him, this is not the first time the phobians have gone trophiless.
“It’s  not the first time Hearts of Oak has gone off as a club. This has been happening over the years so I don’t know what the supporters expect Tobge to do”.
“It took Hearts of Oak 90 years to win the CAF Champions League so what are they talking about”.
“1n 2004, Nii Ayi Bonte and the management board of Hearts of Oak used the  Pobiman land as collateral for a loan from Agricultural Development Bank to support the club. That helped Hearts to be crowned champions of the 2004  Confederations Cup Competition”.
“However, when Tobge Afede took over, he made it a point to clear that debt and he has done  exactly that, so now Hearts are the sole owners of the property in Pobiman”.
The Pobiman land was acquired by the Phobians 17 years ago and has been left idle without any proper infrastructure on the land.
The current administration has come under serious criticisms for doing little to develop the land.
