Don’t be hoodwinked by Bawumia’s lofty claims – Bawah Mogtari

-

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Campaign Spokesperson and Special Aide to National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama, has urged voters to scrutinize recent promises made by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Her remarks follow Dr. Bawumia’s pledge to provide free dialysis treatment for renal patients, beginning December 1.

She questioned this announcement, pointing out that the Vice President has had the authority to introduce such policies, suggesting that the timing of this promise could be a campaign tactic.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, November 12, Ms Mogtari emphasized Mahama’s consistent approach to fulfilling promises.

She noted that the NDC’s manifesto already outlines similar commitments, including provisions for critical healthcare services such as fertility and dialysis treatments.

She further encouraged Ghanaians to vote for the NDC to ensure broader healthcare improvements.

“We often share partisan views, yet the reality is clear. Long before @MBawumia’s promise of free dialysis treatments as a campaign lure, John Mahama and the NDC committed to similar healthcare services in the People’s Manifesto.

“Dear voters, you face a choice: between a leader who has held power without delivering on such promises, and one who has consistently proven he stands by his word. Don’t be swayed by last-minute pledges—vote #JohnMahama for a future with accessible healthcare, including fertility and dialysis services.”
