New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Dome Kwabenya, Mike Ocquaye Jnr, has said that his party is poised to retain the seat in the upcoming general election.
According to him, the Dome-Kwabenya constituents do not have short memories.
In this regard, he is optimistic they will not easily forget the NPP’s track record, which he believes is evident in the constituency.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Free Zones Authority said this in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen.
He expressed hope that all Ghanaians would come together and vote for Dr. Bawumia to lead the country through its growth and development.
“We [Dome-Kwabenya] know the NDC. We don’t forget, and we don’t have short memories. We know that when it comes to policies, the NPP has a better record.
“If you look at Bawumia and Mahama, you know who has been previously linked to corruption; you have performed better and will be the future president,” he stated.
Mr. Ocquaye is seeking to succeed incumbent MP Sarah Adwoa Safo, whom he defeated in the NPP primary by 778 votes.
Adwoa Safo has served as MP for the past 12 years.
