A Division One League match between Elmina Sharks and Swedru All Blacks was marred by hooliganism on Sunday afternoon at the Ndoum Sports Complex.
The game ended 1-0 in favor of All Blacks, but the biggest talking point was the chaotic aftermath of referee Eso Doh Morrison’s final whistle.
Frustrated by a penalty decision that led to All Blacks’ victory, Elmina Sharks players and officials confronted and attacked the referee and other match officials.
Security personnel on the ground swiftly intervened to prevent the situation from spiraling further out of control.

This incident follows another troubling episode of football violence just two weeks ago when Asante Kotoko fan Nana Pooley was fatally stabbed during a Ghana Premier League matchweek 19 fixture between Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko.
