Dogboe dares fellow champions to a showdown

-

Isaac Dogboe has called out the biggest names in the Super Bantamweight division and dared them for a winner-takes-all fight after a dominant display in a first successful defence of his world title.

The Ghanaian needed just two minutes, 18 seconds to dispatch the Japanese Hidenori Otake in what pundits called a ‘statement fight’.

He is now undefeated in 20 fights and has taken 14 of his opponents out via knockouts.

And he wasted no time in proving that in addition to having mastered the art of the sport, he has mastered the showmanship that goes with it too.

Dogboe screamed the words NEHO all week in the build-up to the fight and explained it is at the heart of what he wants to do in the division.

“Neho is to uproot from the ground. We believe something is stuck there and we will take it out,” he said.

The 23-year-old then went to give credit to Otake for facing him before daring the other champions in his division to do same.

“Credit to Otake for signing the contract. We called all these other world champions but they didn’t want to sign the contract,” he said.

“A new kid is on the block. Isaac Royal Storm Dogboe, the warrior of Africa, the 122 division, there is a new kid on the block so all these guys in my division, all you world champions, come let’s put it on, let’s get it on. Ray Vargas, Danny Roman, wherever you are, come on, let’s do this.”
