A self-styled doctor has reportedly killed a mechanic during a fight over parking space.
According to report, the suspect, Nicholas Mensah hit the deceased Michael Appiah with a padlock leading to his untimely death.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Middle East, a suburb in Ashaiman on Christmas day.
Ashaiman Divisional Command, ACP Fleance Adika briefing the media said, the suspect confronted the deceased whose shop is opposite his apartment for wrongfully parking.
This then brought a misunderstanding between the two and subsequently resulted in a fight.
“The suspect then took a padlock and hit the deceased but residents brought the two the police station and they were both cautioned”.
However, ACP Fleance Adika noted that, on January 2, 2018, the condition of Michael Appiah became worse so he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
He indicated that, the police with the help of residents arrested the suspect, Nicholas Mensah for further interrogation.
ACP Adika said is currently in custody and is to reappear before Ashaiman District Magistrate court on 17th January.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
