The turntable skills of US-based Ghanaian disc jockey DJ PC have been recognized by the organizers of the Ghana DJ Awards as the Best International DJ (Ghanaian).
At the 2024 edition of the award scheme, which celebrates Ghanaian DJs who have distinguished themselves in various fields of DJ-ing, DJ PC was honored for his contribution to pushing Ghanaian music to the world.
To win the accolade, DJ PC faced stiff competition from other talented DJs, including DJ Bluey of the UK, DJ Abena of Belgium, and DJ Fiifi of the UK, among others.
The award is a testament to DJ PC’s exceptional talent, dedication, and commitment to making Ghanaian music a prominent feature of US entertainment.
The award is also a celebration of DJ PC’s contribution to the popularization of Ghanaian culture through music beyond the shores of the country.
Reacting to the honor conferred on him by the award show organizers, DJ PC thanked the Ghana DJ Awards organizers, including Mercury Quaye.
DJ PC also expressed gratitude to the Man Upstairs, his family, DJ Steve, DJ Phinaj, and Becky Tweneboah Darko for their support on his journey. He also congratulated the other DJs who were nominated.
While excited by the honor, DJ PC believes that a greater responsibility has been placed on him to continue pushing Ghanaian music and make it one of the most globally recognized music brands.
For now, he is eternally grateful that his mission to spread Ghanaian music around the world has received a boost.
