Divorcing my Nigerian husband has really affected my kids – Sherifa Gunu

It’s becoming an established fact that celebrity marriages don’t last taking into consideration the numerous celebrity relationships scandal at our disposal.

Obaapa Christy, Kwabena Kwabena, Funny Face, among others are popular personalities whose relationships have hit the rocks.

Now, Ghanaian Afro-soul female musician, Sherifa Gunu is arguably the latest popular personality to suffer from relationships scandal.

Although she managed to keep her broken home issue under low-key she has finally let the cat out of the bag.

The celebrated Afro-soul singer in an interview with DJ Premier On Accra 100.5FM, shockingly revealed that she has been divorced for a while and apologized to her diehard fans for keeping it ‘secret’.

“Sorry to my fans, maybe some of you might be heartbroken because a lot of things is going on. I’m no more married… I have kept it for a long time but for somethings, there is no need, you have to move on.” Sherifa Gunu said this during the interview.

Though Sherifa did not disclose what caused her divorce with Nigerian Businessman Ikechukwu Sunday, she admitted that her divorce has affected her children but added that her faith in God will see them through.

“I have my beautiful children around me and they are growing well, God is taking care of us, we are perfect. Yes, it has affected my kids for some time but if you have faith, you will believe that everything happens for a reason, especially people like me, anything that happens, God is still king.” She noted as monitored by Hotfmonlinegh.com

As a reminder, Sherifa Gunu got married to a Nigerian by name Ikechukwu Sunday and has two children with him;Irana Ikechukwu and Bubu Ikechukwu.

Musically, Sherifa is described by many as crowd shaker, and energetic performer when it comes to singing and dancing.
