The Ga Traditional Council has announced a revision of its directive on the closure of shops as part of preparations for the final funeral rites of the late queen, Naa Dedei Omaedru III.
The Council had earlier ordered a three-day closure of all shops and offices within the Central Business District in Accra from October 26 to 29, 2023.

In addition, all markets, shops, and offices in Accra are expected to be draped in red and black, which are the mourning colours from the 15th of October to the 31st October 2023.
