Newly appointed District Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for Asuogyaman, Marvin Akonor has assured youth in the district that his outfit will train and provide skills to them.

As mandated under the Youth Employment Act 2015(Act 887), the YEA is to train and provide requisite skills, facilitate and monitor employment of youth in Ghana as well as developing support to them.

“As a ‘grass root’ person, I am spearheading structural implementation that will ensure opportunities through YEA modules and partner programmes. Programmes including National Lottery Authority (NLA) E-kiosk initiative among others which will be taking off pretty soon in the district will be accessible to the youth”, he said.

Marvin Akonor disclosed this to Adom News when former Constituency First Vice Chair for NPP, Alhaji Adam Musah, some Akosombo Polling Station Zone ‘B’ executives and their Coordinators called on him.

According to him, the district can only develop when there is oneness among residents.

“In pursuing our developmental agenda, I will encourage us all to discard divisiveness and pursuance of individualistic interest. Rather, we must foster unity in our common pursuit of building the capacity of youth to achieve more”, Marvin added.
