Destoolment case: Family backs Abadwumhene, demands reinstatement

-

The Abadwum Oyoko family and community members have rallied behind Nana Amoako Tuffour, asserting that he is a development-oriented leader who must be reinstated.

This support was publicly expressed during a press conference organized by the Oyoko family and local residents at Abadwum in the Adansi North District, Ashanti Region.

Speaking with Adom News correspondent Isaac K. Normanyo during the press conference at the Abadwum Palace, Nana Agyei Sikapa of the Abadwum Oyoko family stated, “Nana Amoako Tuffour has been instrumental in constructing the palace, building various toilet facilities, renovating the basic school, and implementing water projects, among other developments.”

Nana Sikapa challenged the legitimacy of Nana Tuffour’s destoolment, asserting that such an action cannot be considered valid without the consent of the family head.

He further alleged that, the current situation stems from the refusal of Abadwum elders to carry out what he described as a “diabolical act” at the behest of the Edubiasehene.

“What is happening now is due to the elders’ refusal to betray Nana Tuffour,” he said.

He concluded, “Nana Amoako Tuffour remains our recognized chief, as far as we are concerned.”
