The organisers of the three-day #ReoccupyJulorbiHouse and #StopGalamseyNow demonstration which led to the arrest of 40, Democracy Hub has condemned the detention of protesters.
The group has described the move as unlawful and unjust after some of the protestors were on Tuesday arraigned before the circuit court.
In a statement, Democracy Hub indicated there was no due process, accusing the police of intentionally denying the detained protesters their right to legal counsel, violating their constitutional rights.
Meanwhile, about 39 who were arraigned under heavy security presence before the Accra Circuit Court have been remanded two weeks into police custody.
They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, namely; unlawful assembly
Meanwhile, a bench warrant has been issued for one person who failed to show up in court.
Convenor for the #FixTheCountry group, Oliver Baker-Vormawor is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
