A group calling itself Friends of Daasebre Gyan on Saturday, March 25, 2017 staged a protest at Koforidua against the decision by the late musician’s maternal family to place an injunction on the second funeral by the paternal family to celebrate the late musician.
Members of the group in an interview with Mike 2 on Adom FM expressed shock at the conduct of the maternal family.
One of the demonstrators who identified himself as Daasebre’s drummer accused one Agyapong and his sister Cynthia of masterminding the plot to stop the funeral slated for April 1, 2017 at Koforidua in the Eastern region.
Also, assembly man for the area, Agya Kwasi who organized the demonstration said they will resist any attempt to prevent the funeral.
Daasebre reportedly succumbed to a heart attack at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Friday, July 29, 2016.
