He has also shared exciting updates on his ongoing projects that are making significant impacts in Ghana.

Expanding Travel and Tourism to Ghana

As the director and president of GoingToGhana.com, Dave Bishop has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the U.S. and Africa through various travel and tour experiences.

One of the standout events is the upcoming “Mother’s Day in the Motherland,” which is dedicated to honouring the strength, love, and resilience of mothers through a week-long celebration in Accra, Ghana. This event will feature luxurious experiences, cultural immersion, and meaningful connections, aiming to empower and appreciate mothers for their contributions.

Another highly anticipated event is “Motown in the Motherland,” set to take place from June 15 to June 22, 2025. This groundbreaking celebration of Juneteenth will foster cultural exchange between Detroit’s vibrant Motown community and Ghana’s rich heritage.

The event will unite artisans, healthcare providers, import-export professionals, real estate investors, and musical talents from Detroit, offering an unforgettable experience that highlights the deep connection between the two regions.

Dave also announced plans to launch a full-service concierge office at Kotoka International Airport. This office will cater to first-time visitors and clients, acting as a vital resource to help them navigate their way around Ghana and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Investing in Children and Community Development

Dave’s commitment to uplifting communities in Ghana continues to grow. He is spearheading the construction of a ten-bedroom maternity ward in the Central Region, providing a safe space for new mothers to bond with their newborns.

This initiative aims to enhance maternal healthcare and ensure that mothers can spend more time with their babies in a nurturing environment.

In addition, Dave has commissioned boreholes to provide clean water to communities and is overseeing the construction of an eight-bedroom teachers’ quarters. This project aims to improve the living conditions of educators, allowing them to focus on delivering quality education to students.

Dave is also working on creating playgrounds for children in the Central Region, with the goal of fostering their development and growth into well-rounded adults.

He believes in the power of play to positively impact children’s lives, and this initiative is just the beginning of a broader effort to improve recreational facilities in the area.

Good Deed Day and Prison Reforms

As part of his commitment to social justice, Dave plans to launch “Good Deed Day” in Accra this September.

This day will focus on feeding the homeless, supporting underserved communities, and encouraging individuals across the continent to do good deeds for one another. The event is intended to inspire acts of kindness and help create a better world through collective efforts.

Dave is also addressing the issue of prison reforms, advocating for better rehabilitation programs for incarcerated individuals.

He believes in reducing recidivism by providing inmates with job opportunities and support systems that will help them reintegrate into society and break the cycle of crime.

Ghanaian Citizenship

In September 2024, Dave Bishop will be officially granted Ghanaian citizenship, solidifying his role as a bridge between the U.S. and Ghana.

This dual citizenship will enable him to further connect and collaborate with both communities, strengthening ties and creating opportunities for growth and development.

With his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to philanthropy, Dave Bishop continues to make a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals in Ghana and beyond.
