Ghana midfielder, Daniel Kofi Kyereh has had to leave SC Freiburg’s pre-season training camp due to ongoing knee issues.
The 28-year-old had just rejoined his teammates in preparation for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season after a year and a half of recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.
Unfortunately, Kyereh’s knee problems resurfaced during recent training sessions, forcing him to depart from the camp.

He is now set to undergo a surgical procedure to determine the severity of the new injury, which could lead to further treatment if required.
Kyereh missed the entire 2023/24 season due to his previous injury, despite hopes for a late-season return.
He signed with Freiburg in July 2022 and made 12 appearances in his debut season, scoring two goals.
On the international stage, Kyereh has not played for Ghana since his participation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
